A homelesness charity has joked that it may have a poltergeist after security video showed chaos unfolding in its kitchen.
Help the Homeless bosses arrived at their Leicester base to find a scene of disarray with a cupboard tipped over and tins and packets of food all over the place.
The charity shared the footage joking that it looked like a restless spirit had struck in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Charity founder Arif Voraji said: “We don’t know what happened but it looks really strange.
“The cupboard wasn’t overstacked or anything.
“One minute it’s fine, the next minute – over it goes.
“It caused a bit off a mess which took a while to tidy up.
“There was about £350 of food in there – pasta, eggs, tinned milk, rice – which would have gone to homeless people in the city and a lot of it will have to be replaced.
“So we’d welcome any donations.”
Donations can be dropped off at the charity’s base at 9 Abbey Street in Leicester city centre between 10am and 2pm on weekdays or at a pre-arranged time.
